This series of opal globe pendant lights named ‘Aspera Sphera’ (Latin for ‘rough globe’) is made from a bio-degradable polymer derived from corn starch. The material is infused with ground scallop and oyster shells reclaimed from restaurant waste streams. This give the material a beautiful natural warmth and translucency that is revealed once the light is switched on. Every single globe is unique with a subtly different form and surface. The globe is fixed to a natural jute covered cord with solid raw brass fittings. Each globe has a single, dimmable LED lamp. Provided with metal white ceiling rose with solid raw brass cord grip and dimmable 12v transformer (usually hidden in ceiling void when installed).

Materials:
Opal globe – PLA & Scallops/oyster shells. Fittings – Solid brass raw finish (other brass finishes available on request). Round electric cable covered by Jute fabric (other cable finishes available on request). White powder coated metal ceiling rose (other finishes available on request).

Dimensions:
Standard size : small – 8cm diameter , medium – 10cm diameter Large – 15cm diameter. All dimensions are approximate as each and every globe is unique, expect variations of up to 1.5 centimetres. Chord length provided as standard 150cm. Custom Sizes available upon request to a maximum size of 30cm.
