Carioca originally refers to the inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. The name fits so wonderfully with our Carioca hammock, as it is originally handmade in Brazil. Colourful, Brazilian and with the highest hammock comfort.
Carioca is something quite special:
Only very few looms are suitable for making a 1.75 m wide sheet. In order to make this giant hammock both extra sturdy and super soft at the same time, almost 6,000 threads are woven together! The unique Jacquard weaving technique used calls for a special kind of loom. This makes the woven material exceptionally soft and comfortable.
We connect the extra thick cords again here by hand with a woven band so that concentrated loads are compensated for, giving the hammock a very long operational life.
