Durability, resistance, and natural beauty are a few adjectives that can be used to describe Teak (Tectona Grandis).

The main feature of this wood is its coloration, which blends light tones and darker veins, creating a uniquely beautiful appearance. Its beauty lies in the combination of colors in each piece, giving it an exclusive and distinctive identity that reveals a glimpse of the tree’s life and adds a personalized touch to the product. The Teak wood used in the Uultis line comes from reforestation forests in Brazil, giving it a distinct look compared to Teak from Asia.

Being the main raw material used in the brand, Uultis has chosen to work with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified Teak Wood. The FSC seal in an international certification that certifies that a certain product, such as wood, paper, or cellulose, was produced from responsible and sustainable sources. Additionally, products that carry this seal can be traced from their origin to the final consumer, guaranteeing the sustainable and responsible origin of the product.  To obtain the FSC seal, companies must meet a series of stringent environmental, social, and economic criteria in their operations, including the protection of biodiversity, the promotion of labor rights, and the responsible use of forest resources.

Therefore, to reinforce Uultis’ position of being inspired by nature and using Brazilian raw materials, we are proud to promote that we use FSC-certified Teak Wood in our designs.
