We carefully source high quality, 100% Arabica coffee beans from the top 5% of the current year’s crop, which we roast and grind using our environmentally friendly coffee roaster at our roasting facility in Brenham, Texas.
We combine twenty years of cutting edge and farmer friendly solutions with old school, craft roasting processes to produce fresh, eco friendly hotel coffee for your guests’ in-room, lobby, and restaurant coffee experience.

We are not ‘big coffee’!
Our roastery is very small by most standards. However, we see this as a true advantage. Our size and hands-on approach to single serve compostable coffee and tea allows Independence to measure up to seasoned coffee enthusiasts’ high standards. While there are many steps that take place in the process of getting Independence Coffee into your cup, here are some that we view as crucial to our continued success.
ROAST CONSISTENCY
Independence has only three roasters on staff. One is our original environmentally friendly coffee roaster. The other two have been trained by our original roaster in all facets of the roasting and blending process which makes our coffees – OUR COFFEES. When a customer finds a favourite eco friendly hotel coffee roast, it will embody the same roast characteristics each time.
PROFILE ROASTING
While others may roast in very large batches with minimal variance in timing requirements, the ‘Independence Roast’ uses time and temperature to guide each roast through several stages. We feel the increased time commitment is well worth creating a deep-roasted single serve compostable coffee that enhance one’s coffee experience.
FRESHNESS
Our commitment to freshness and tight distribution standards allows us to deliver our eco friendly hotel coffees to bed and breakfasts, gourmet markets and grocery markets without warehousing for long periods of time.
