Distilled and crafted in Salcombe, Devon, England on Provident, our bespoke 450 litre copper pot still, our collection of award-winning luxury hotel gins are distilled using the finest hand sourced botanicals from around the world, blended together with pure naturally soft Dartmoor Water to create a collection of truly exceptional luxury hotel gins.
Inspired by the coastal vitality of Salcombe and its shipbuilding heritage, every drop of Salcombe Luxury Hotel Gin is produced with an uncompromising approach to quality.
Salcombe Fruiters were schooner sailing vessels built in Salcombe and neighbouring Kingsbridge in the 19th century. They were small and fast to carry the highly perishable cargo of fresh fruits and spices from around the world. With copper sheathed hulls and an ability to sail close to the wind, these ships were amongst the fastest of their day.
Harnessing the essence of these ships’ precious cargo and their exotic trading routes, we use only the finest citrus fruits and spices to create Salcombe Gin.
Our luxury hotel gins are handcrafted using the more traditional ‘one shot’ method, on ‘Provident’, our striking 450 litre copper pot still which stands proud for all to see at our distillery in Salcombe.
We use the finest of botanicals, hand sourced from around the world, many of which have been traced back to the global maritime trading routes and cargoes once carried by the Salcombe Fruiters. Each of the botanicals we use has a story to tell, none are mass produced, all are traceable to their source and all are picked at their best. We are uncompromisingly fussy about their quality.
Of utmost importance and often overlooked in gin distillation is the quality of the water used for blending. We know that water plays an important part in creating our phenomenally smooth collection of gins which is why we blend our luxury hotel gin with Dartmoor water; some of the softest and purest water in England, sourced from high up in the wilds of Dartmoor National Park.
Our multi-award winning exceptional hotel gin ‘Start Point’ is a citrus led London Dry gin, distilled with 13 fine botanicals hand sourced from historical worldwide trading routes once served by the famous Salcombe Fruit Schooners. Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’ is distilled to the exacting one shot London Dry method, it is elegantly smooth, distinct and complex, yet extremely versatile. 70cl 44%ABV.
‘Rosé Sainte Marie’, our Mediterranean Rosé hotel gin, with no added sugar, is inspired by the aromas, flavours and lifestyle of the South of France and is a celebration of adventure, colour freshness and joy capturing the vibrant spirit, flavours and aromas of the Mediterranean coast. A truly delicious gin that is elegantly soft and sophisticated and that effortlessly raises the bar in the ‘pink’ hotel gin category. 70cl 41.4%ABV.

Each of our limited-edition Voyager Series luxury hotel gins have been developed in collaboration with a world-renowned chef or iconic winemaker to reflect their individual personality and style. Bringing together our combined expertise in balancing and perfecting flavours and aromas.
Each release is presented in a stunning white ceramic bottle with a bespoke debossed copper stopper commissioned for the series, complete with a bespoke Salcombe Gin gift box with copper detailing and cocktail card.

Gin School offers the ultimate experience at our outstanding distilling laboratory for adults, where you will take charge of a beautiful mini copper pot still to develop and distil your very own 70cl bottle of gin.
Visitors to the distillery can also enjoy our tutored Taster Sessions complete with a talk and tour or take advantage of our bespoke experience days, where we create a tailored experience for gin enthusiasts, whether its for a corporate group day out or a special celebration.
During the summer months we offer a Gin Hamper Delivery Service via our Salcombe Gin RIB to yachting visitors in Salcombe and the surrounding area, and our bespoke Salcombe Gin Butlers can be reserved to either board your yacht or join you at your property for the ultimate ‘pennant hour’, preparing signature Salcombe Gin cocktails and providing exquisite liquid refreshment for you and your guests.
