Leilo’s journey began on the south coast of Fiji, a place where kava has been cherished and enjoyed for generations. The story started in 2018 when Sol, our founder, visited Fiji and connected with a local named Benji. This friendship opened doors to an authentic cultural experience, including an invitation to a traditional kava ceremony.

Returning to the United States, Sol and Benji remained in close contact, sharing a vision of introducing kava beyond the South Pacific shores. Determined to make this dream a reality, Sol embarked on a mission to create a unique product that would offer the soothing benefits of kava while respecting its deep-rooted cultural significance.

To achieve this, Leilo’s team dedicated two years to meticulous research and development, focusing on the highest quality ingredients and sustainable sourcing practices directly from the South Pacific.
