In the cozy confines of a Victorian home in Southwest Portland, in a basement where creativity (and good vibes) flowed freely, our two founders blended and brewed. Driven by a fervent love for combining herbs, spices, and botanicals, our founders set out on a journey to uplift the mind, body, and soul through revitalizing hotel herbal tea blends. From humble brewing-in-the-basement beginnings, our commitment to innovating with tasty, premium ingredients has remained. Embracing the rich tradition of chai tea, we were among the first to popularize it in the US. A production employee, deeply proud of his mother’s cherished chai recipe, graciously shared it with the founders. Captivated by its aromatic blend, they were inspired to delve deeper into the world of chai. Since then, we’ve expanded our Chai collection to over 7 bold and unique flavors to cater to the diverse palates of teaheads everywhere.
But we didn’t stop there—take our Lemon Ginger herbal blend, for example. We wanted something zingy, something invigorating. Decades ago when we brought this citrusy and biting flavor to market, there was hesitation among our customers, not interest in such an unconventional flavor profile. Cut to today, Lemon Ginger has become the #1 flavored herbal tea in the US.
