• 100% of tips must be passed to the workers
• No deductions should be taken by the business for admin costs
• All tips must be FAIRLY allocated
• Tips must be paid to staff no later than 1 month after paid by the customer
• Agency workers are entitled to this the same way staff are
• It’s prohibited to negotiate wages based on tips
• A new Code of Practice is being worked on regarding fairness and practical guidance
• The act is considered ‘automatically met’ if there is an independent and compliant tronc in place
• A written policy must be available an state how it meets the new legislation
• Records must be available for 3+ years,  qualifying and paid out gratuities
