John Davies Framing – “Teniers” cabinet frame

A polished pearwood cabinet frame with lines of reeding and curved profiles to catch the light. This frame is inspired by the Dutch Golden Age artist David Teniers the Younger and the frames used on his paintings. It is ideal for artwork inspired by this time, or for a mirror in a room needing clean lines and classic styling.

The frame is made from pearwood on a pine base, French polished by hand to a high gloss finish, or a more matt effect if desired. The colour can be from a mid brown to a deep, rich black and can include a gilded line around the opening. The frame can be made in any size subject to a minimum profile width of 7cm. The example shown measures 30 x 20 x 10cm.
