What distinguishes Enchanted House Beds’ products from other premium hotel mattresses on the market?
We have worked with a UK based leading supplier of high-quality pocketed springs to the market to provide us with a variety of spring tensions for our products. Not all suppliers will offer this. Our mattresses are then upholstered using hand teased Dartmoor Wool from the family farm which provides not only supreme comfort along with other natural fillings but also lowers the carbon footprint whilst using wool grown on the sheep in the countryside right where the beds are made!
Can you describe the process of crafting your beds and mattresses? What ensures their quality and durability?
All the mattresses are handmade, the mattress ticking (fabric) is cut by hand, the springs are hand selected dependent on tension requirements and hand side stitched and upholstered by hand as well. We follow a special recipe for all the different specifications and test and check all our products to ensure everything complies with all the British laws. Our guarantees increase as you move up our range, so you can be assured of an outstanding product all handmade in Devon.
Can you share a memorable client story or project that highlights your company’s capabilities and customer service?
We supply a local hotel The White Hart in Okehampton with our mattresses. It is part of a chain, so we would not normally be their supplier. We do however put all our guests and retailers up at this hotel and they are able to experience a night on our wonderful range of beds when they visit. We often get good comments from their customers, and they tell them to visit our website which guides them to a retailer near where they live to purchase one! We continue to work well with this hotel and have a great rapport built with them. We would love to encourage hotels to work with their local bed retailers too, it is so important to get a good night’s sleep whether you are at home or away on a holiday!
What are your goals and vision for the future of Enchanted House Beds?
To provide comfortable sleep by hand tailoring our range of beds to the customers needs. We started small and are celebrating our 10th Birthday this year, so we have grown from 1 employee to 36 now! Our goals are for continued measured growth, further extensions to our factory to provide more production space and make more beds for our customers in both the contract and domestic markets across the UK.
Are there any upcoming projects or expansions that you can share with us?
Excitingly, we are about to deliver a large number of mattresses to Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall and following delivery of the first phase of beds to the George in Broadway, Cotswolds, we are currently quoting for phase two! In terms of expansions, we are looking to extend the factory further to provide more production space.
