As a manufacturer of wireless designer table lamps rechargeable through induction, we pride ourselves on our strong CSR focus. OBELIE, founded in 2016 in Toulouse by three ambitious entrepreneurs, aims to enhance the daily experiences of individuals in the event, hospitality, restaurant, and catering industries. Our mission is to simplify users’ daily lives by providing smart, durable, and eco-friendly products with cutting-edge technology.
In June 2017, we introduced the LAMOURETTE cordless lamp designed to elevate events. The brand’s DNA was evident through the use of contactless charging stations via induction. The event industry demands robust products for challenging environments without compromising on lighting quality.
We have extended these standards to offer new lamp models like the BONSOIR collection to the HORECA industry, maintaining high quality while introducing more designs to complement remarkable restaurant tables.

In a competitive industry like hospitality, differentiation is key. What unique offerings does Obelie bring to the table?
These days, LEDs & battery are increasingly utilized across various sectors, benefiting from technological advancements. The quality disparities in LEDs, cells, and battery pack assemblies significantly impact the lighting and color rendering of lamps, affecting skin tones and food colors. Furthermore, the varying lifespans of battery packs and potential risks associated with certain types highlight the importance of product quality and safety.
In addition to performance, the ecological and ethical aspects of a product are crucial considerations. Does the product uphold environmental standards? Is the sourcing of manufacturing materials ethical?
At Obelie, we uphold high standards by utilizing premium components: LEDs with a Light Rendering Index exceeding 90, excluding Cobalt-containing Li-Ion batteries for better recyclability and sustainability, providing batteries with triple the lifespan and quick replacement in under 3 minutes. Our assembly partners employ individuals with disabilities, ensuring a high-quality, Earth- and people-friendly product, nearly entirely recyclable and assembled in France . We proudly offer a 3-year warranty to guarantee customer satisfaction.

For our client, Relais & Chateaux Bernard Loiseau, a prestigious Michelin-starred brand, we designed an innovative induction charging cart
This trolley can transport 20 lamps at once between the charging station and the dining area. Its maneuverability allows easy navigation over obstacles and steps, making it suitable for various terrains like cobblestones, curbs, and uneven surfaces while securely holding the lamps in place.
The carrier’s vertical storage feature is highly sought after and space-saving, requiring just one power outlet to charge all 20 lamps simultaneously.
What differentiates Obelie from its competitors?
As explained previously, we position ourselves with high-end products through the choice of materials (LEDs, batteries, design), durable eco-designed, but we have other decisive advantages: we do not use any charging connectors, nor any contactor, charging is completely wireless via induction, this brings two crucial advantages:
– a significant time saving for the restaurant team at the end of service, they will simply have to place the lamp on its base without having to look for a connector orientation
– no breakage linked to the charging contact, which implies incomparable product longevity, and thus a reduced investment cost
To date we are the only manufacturer to exclude Li ion batteries from its products, we offer cobalt-free lamps therefore respectful of the soil, and which exclude questionable extraction channels, while offering 3x no more charge cycles.
