Can you provide an insight on the history of Batribike, and its mission?

Batribike, was established in the UK in 2007. Our goal has always been to offer high-quality, reliable, and affordable electric bicycles. In 2022, we proudly partnered with the Danish company Promovec, enhancing our innovation and expanding our product range. Despite these changes, we remain a team of cycling enthusiasts committed to top quality and customer satisfaction. Our mission is to encourage sustainable transport and healthier lifestyles. We focus on customer satisfaction by designing bikes for comfort, convenience, and durability.

Could you describe your product range, and how these could enhance a guest’s experience at a hotel?

Our product range features a selection of electric bicycles designed to cater to various needs and preferences. We provide mountain bikes, city bikes, and leisure bikes. Each model is crafted with high-quality components, long-lasting batteries, and user-friendly features to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Most models also come with the Connect + app which lets you track your journey, battery and more. For hotel guests, our e-bikes offer a unique and memorable way to explore the local
area. For hotels, Batribike helps enhances the guest experience with a fun and convenient transportation option while supporting sustainability initiatives.

How do Batribike’s products contribute to sustainability efforts within the hospitality industry?

Opting for electric bicycles, hotels can offer their guests emission-free ways to explore and a green alternative to traditional transport. To add to this, guests can enjoy a more intimate and immersive experience of the destination without the hassle of parking or navigating heavy traffic. This significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with tourism activities, promoting a healthier environment in local communities.

What trends are you seeing in the demand for electric bikes and sustainable transport solutions, and how do you stay ahead of these trends?

The demand for electric bikes is experiencing substantial growth across Europe. E-bike sales increased by over 50% in 2020 alone and have continued to rise steadily in recent years. E-bikes are increasingly being recognised as an effective response to urban mobility challenges such as traffic congestion and air pollution and many European cities are actively promoting e-bikes as a sustainable alternative. Working with promovec we are always looking to stay ahead of future demand. We have been investing in Viridus producing batteries in Denmark who are now our sole battery supplier. This helps ensure high-quality, reliable supply and reduces lead times.

Local production also supports sustainability and aligns with our commitment to eco-friendly electric bike manufacturing.

Are there any upcoming projects or innovations Batribike is working on that you’d like to share?

We’re excited to be working on a new range of cargo bikes. These upcoming models are a great solution to more heavy-duty transport options. They are perfect for moving equipment, luggage, and even transporting kids. Our goal with these cargo bikes is to offer a reliable and versatile transport option.
