Can you tell me about the inspiration behind Peacetree Naturals and how the company got started?
Peacetree was started during a conversation by four frequent travelers. We were talking one day about being on the road often, and we all noted that the most frequent complaint we heard among fellow travelers was that nobody seemed to be able to sleep well while traveling. Whether it was that people couldn’t ‘turn off’ their minds, or they couldn’t sleep in a strange bed, or they just couldn’t wind down and relax and rest during a busy business trip, sleep was the one thing almost all travelers complained about on the road. Another frequent complaint was that sleep aids, whether prescription or over the counter, left them groggy and unable to perform well the next day. I even spoke with people returning from a fun vacation, who just couldn’t sleep due to all the excitement and hectic planning. We started collaborating on a solution, which led us down a path of sourcing the most potent, highest quality full-spectrum CBD oil we could find that was sourced in the U.S. and time-tested and well established as a potent, super-effective remedy that provides deep, restorative rest with no unwanted after effects. We combined that with packaging that was both slim and convenient for travelers as well as perfect for a hotel to add as part of a welcome package or added to the other hotel amenities, or even in a hotel minibar or retail store. How do you ensure the quality and effectiveness of your products while adhering to the laws and guidelines surrounding CBD?
Peacetree’s REST CBD softgels are triple – tested by third party labs. First the bulk oil is tested for a full panel of terpenes and cannabinoids as well as heavy metals and pesticides, and to ensure that the THC levels are well within the U.S. Federal guidelines for THC. The finished softgels are also tested for the same components. The softgels are tested a third time prior to going into the blister packs, to ensure that each softgel contains 25 mg of pure, potent full spectrum CBD oil and is free of toxic heavy metals and pesticides, and that it does not exceed the THC limit per US FDA requirements.
