Can you provide us with an overview of Papoutsanis’ history and its evolution over the years?

Papoutsanis is a leading Greek manufacturer with a rich heritage and one of the largest manufacturers of soap and liquid cosmetics in Europe with over a hundred million products made per year. Holding the largest integrated production unit in the Balkans, with one of the most sophisticated technologies, it generates innovative and state-of-the-art products from raw materials that raise the bar of quality in both Greek and international markets. Paying respect to its glorious past combined with 154 years of high-end technology expertise and its ongoing market presence, the company plans its future steps through a strategic business plan, based on four primary units: Own Brands, Hotel Amenities, Third-Party and Private Label Manufacturing for international suppliers and retailers and Specialized Soap Noodles for its industrial clientele.

Sustainability stands as an integral part of Papoutsanis philosophy and its commitment to it, is deeply rooted in its mission, values, and business strategy. Sustainable practices determine every decision and are reflected in the timeless value of Papoutsanis signature. Papoutsanis is a pioneer in the European hotel industry by introducing the following features. Our plastic reduction plan has been set the last 3 years. 34 Papoutsanis Hotel Amenities products are available in refill doypacks. This has enabled us to save tons of plastic materials the last couple of years. At the same time, we have introduced our waterless proposals, solid shampoo, and solid shower gel.  With a significantly lower environmental footprint throughout their production and use, they are formulated with carefully selected, high-quality ingredients and are available in recycled paper packaging – therefore without plastic.
