What challenges or gaps in the hospitality market did you aim to address with your products?
A lot of professionals in the field of hospitality seek for complete systems to scent different kinds of spaces, or even pillows, fabrics and wardrobes. However, each of the aforementioned require separate perfuming methods. Our goal while developing the Scent Marketing project was to create fragrancing solutions that would include both high quality perfumes and a variety of applications, so that our clients can use their preferred fragrance in any part of their accommodation.
How do you think fragrance contributes to a guest’s overall perception of a hotel?
As discussed in a previous interview, the sense of smell both affects our mood and creates memories. A nice and delicate fragrance always has a positive impact on the guests’ perception of the accommodation, as it gives them a sense of wellbeing and comfortness. Additionally, during their stay in the hotel, the guests get familiar with the fragrance and start associating it with the hotel’s environment, brand name and services.
How have you seen the demand for scent marketing and fragrance systems evolve in the hospitality industry?
We have noticed a significant rise in the demand of efficient scenting systems, accompanied by fine and high quality fragrances. More and more professionals in the hospitality industry become interested in building what is called “Scent Branding”, by which their guests not only feel uplifted, but also connect that specific smell with the hotel’s brand – and even want to take similar products with them when they get back home, so that they can keep the memory of their stay.
Are there any notable success stories or partnerships you would like to highlight?
We have got some powerful collaborations within Greece, many of which regarding luxury hotels, but in a lot of cases we have succeeded in helping smaller accommodations build their aromatic identity. There aren’t any particular examples I would like to point out, we always try to do our best to meet our customers’ needs.
