1. What inspired you to start a company focused on producing lampshades, and how has the business evolved over the years?
I have always had a passion for interior design and I realised that lighting is one of the most powerful elements in creating ambience. Lampshades play a crucial role in how light is diffused. I also I saw a gap in the market for high quality, customisable lampshades. We started small, making handmade lampshades with just a few basic materials, but over the years we’ve grown into a full business. Today, we find the hospitality industry particularly important to us – we work with both large hotel chains and small boutique hotels, tailoring our designs to suit the unique atmosphere of each interior. I’m happy to share we’ve recently increased our production capacity and can now produce up to 1,500 lampshades a day, offering virtually unlimited bespoke configurations.
2. How do you incorporate sustainability into your lampshade production process?
Sustainability plays an important role in what we do. We carefully select eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, jute, and recycled fabrics to ensure that our products are not only beautiful but also environmentally conscious. Our clients, particularly in the hotel industry, are increasingly looking for sustainable options. Whether it’s a large-scale hotel chain or a boutique property, it’s important for us to stay ahead by offering eco-friendly solutions without compromising on quality or design.
3. What trends do you see shaping the future of the lighting industry, particularly in relation to lampshades?
I think we’re seeing a shift toward more customized and bespoke lighting solutions. People want unique pieces that reflect their style and complement their interior spaces. In the hotel sector, this is especially true. Hotels, whether large or small, want bespoke designs that match the uniqueness of their brand and style of interiors. We offer endless configurations to meet their needs. Additionally, sustainability is a huge trend, with more clients asking for eco – conscious materials and production methods. I believe the future of lampshades will focus on combining aesthetic beauty with functionality and environmental responsibility. We’re thrilled to be part of this journey!
