In a world shaped by IT, the “work from everywhere” trend has accelerated. An increasing number of people are now doing their jobs from hotels. While working guests are keen to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and hospitality on offer, but they also want to take advantage of ergonomic conditions that meet office standards. With this development in mind, Inwerk has launched the compact Workfit® 2 sit-stand desk. This lounge-style desk has a characteristic elegant design and is made from high-quality materials to fulfil the requirements of the discerning hospitality industry. Particularly striking features include angled leg extensions with real oak applications, making for an eye-catching contrast with the black table top and black lifting frame. This table therefore creates a visual highlight not just in the workplace, but also in lobbies and cafés. Unlike standard café tables, a particular convenient feature is the height adjustment. The table brings together the advantages of the office world with the comfort of hospitality in the very sense of “the best of both worlds”.

The technology of individual height adjustment that has been integrated into most newly purchased office desks for a number of years now: Hotel guests are able to choose whether they prefer to sit or stand. It is good advice to change your working posture occasionally, since movement is healthy for us. In fact, orthopaedists recommend standing up more frequently to help prevent back pain and other complaints. Just as it has been the case in offices, the freedom to choose a working position will also be met positively in hotels: using a hand lever, the table top can be easily adjusted to a height of between 720 and 1,120 mm. This is all powered by a gas lift, so there is no need to use electricity. As a result, the desk can be used wherever guests need or want it, irrespective of whether it is in the vicinity of a power socket.
