In recent years, we have seen our range of telephones grow in popularity to the point where we now find ourselves conducting a significant portion of our business within the Hospitality sector and have enjoyed working alongside some of the most recognisable brands, such as InterContinental, Radisson, and Virgin Hotels, as well as many independent hotels and groups.
While supplying hundreds of hotels with our range of analogue models, the need for cloud-based phones emerged, so adding SIP/IP versions to our range was a natural progression. We currently have 5 SIP/IP retro options available (200, 746 Push Button, 746 Wallphone, Carrington and Duke) and plan to introduce more in the coming months.
In providing this technology, GPO has been collaborating with AEi Communications, a Malaysian-based electronics company that has over 30 years’ experience in the manufacture of both analogue and IP hotel guest room phones, and during our time working together we have come to know the AEi products and better understand the needs of our customers.
As a result, it is with great pleasure that we can announce that we have secured a partnership with AEi that appoints us as AEi’s Master Distributor for the UK and Ireland: AEi customers will benefit from more GPO retro phone models becoming available to the hotel industry in SIP versions, whilst GPO expands its portfolio to include an extensive modern range of highly innovative, ‘state of the art’ guest room phones designed specifically for the hotel industry, in both SIP and analogue versions.
We expect this to substantially increase the size of both companies’ sales and marketing channels.
